Brussels, 23 August 2023 — IC Verzekeringen / CI Assurances (ICV), a specialised insurance broker for the social profit sector, and Eye Security, an expert in cybersecurity, are delighted to announce their strategic partnership aimed at providing social enterprises with increased protection against cyber risks.
With over 70 years of experience in the Belgian insurance market, ICV is an independent, market-leading broker specialising in insurance for the social profit sector. To meet the specific requirements of stakeholders in this sector, ICV not only provides advice, but also analyses risks and proposes tailor-made insurance solutions. ICV offers cover that goes beyond legal requirements, providing social enterprises with extensive and comprehensive protection.
The need to find an external partner specialising in cybersecurity arose from the fact that cyber risks are becoming increasingly significant for ICV, its clients and the market as a whole.
The number of cyberattacks is increasing in Belgium, affecting a variety of organisations including schools, hospitals, care providers, ecclesiastical institutions, NGOs and public institutions. At the end of 2019, ICV fell victim to a cyberattack itself, becoming one of the 31.8% of Belgian SMEs who have experienced a cybersecurity incident. The collaboration with Eye Security will enable ICV to minimise these risks and support its clients in complying with the security requirements necessary to benefit from cyber insurance.
Eye Security was chosen as a partner based on its superior protection solutions, which provide improved security and rapid response in the event of a cyber incident. This collaboration offers significant added value for ICV and its clients.
Michel Höftmann, Managing Director of ICV, said: “ICV has taken a step forward to offer optimal protection to its clients in the social profit sector. Thanks to our partnership with Eye Security, we are now able to offer an additional incident prevention service on top of our tailor-made insurance solutions”.
This unique collaboration allows ICV to provide additional services to its clients, thus strengthening their IT security. The goal is to offer the best protection to social profit organisations, enabling them to focus on their core business with peace of mind.
The cooperation between ICV and Eye Security aims to target clients generally in the sectors in which they operate.
With cyberattacks constantly evolving, this collaboration also enables ICV to stay up to date with new types of cyber crimes and offer improved risk protection for its clients.
