Brussels, 23 August 2023 — IC Verzekeringen / CI Assurances (ICV), a specialised insurance broker for the social profit sector, and Eye Security, an expert in cybersecurity, are delighted to announce their strategic partnership aimed at providing social enterprises with increased protection against cyber risks.
With over 70 years of experience in the Belgian insurance market, ICV is an independent, market-leading broker specialising in insurance for the social profit sector. The need to find an external partner specialising in cybersecurity arose from the fact that cyber risks are becoming increasingly significant for ICV, its clients and the market as a whole.
The number of cyberattacks is increasing in Belgium, affecting a variety of organisations including schools, hospitals, care providers, ecclesiastical institutions, NGOs and public institutions. At the end of 2019, ICV fell victim to a cyberattack itself, becoming one of the 31.8% of Belgian SMEs who have experienced a cybersecurity incident. The collaboration with Eye Security will enable ICV to minimise these risks and support its clients in complying with the security requirements necessary to benefit from cyber insurance.
